Dr. Georges Zinaty (1935 - 2021)

Lebanon

Zinaty, who was born in Palestine and is a Lebanese national, has published several philosophical works in both Arabic and French and translated and written Arabic prefaces to the work of Rene Descartes. Zinaty has a PhD in Literature from the University of Paris and lectured at the Lebanese University in both the Education and Literature faculties for nearly 20 years.

About The Book

Dr. Georges Zinaty was recognized with the 2007 Sheikh Zayed Book Award for Translation for Arabic translation of the work of the French philosopher Paul Ricœur who is best known for combining phenomenological description with hermeneutic interpretation.
