Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the 17th edition of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award was held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ZayedCHF), and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, who presented the Awards to the winners in seven categories.
The Award is presented annually to outstanding writers, intellectuals, and publishers, as well as young talent whose writing and translation in humanities objectively enriches Arab intellectual, cultural, literary and social life.
The ceremony took place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2023 and was attended by key intellectual and literary figures, alongside ministers, senior officials and diplomats.
