2020 Online Award Ceremony

Location: YouTube Livestream
Date: Thursday, 16 April 2020

This year’s 14th edition of the award acknowledges some of the most challenging and exciting work about the Arab world, reflecting the scope and depth of Arab cultural achievement both in Arabic and other languages.

In the context of the global coronavirus pandemic, it will come as no surprise that we’ve reimagined the way in which we’re celebrating this year’s laureates. In lieu of our usual ceremony, we hosted a livestream presentation introducing this year’s international recipients to the world. Each winner was presented and shared a few words. The broadcast was introduced by  HE Dr Ali Bin Tamim, Secretary General of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award and Abu Dhabi TV reporter Suhail Al Zubaidi.
