Prof. Dr. Shaker Abdul Hamid (1952 - 2021)

Shaker Abdul Hamid was Professor of Psychology of Creativity at Egypt’s Arts Academy where he previously served as Vice President from 2003 to 2005. Prof. Hamid specialised in studies of artistic creativity and taught at the University of the Arabian Gulf - Bahrain (Faculty of Graduate Studies, Director of Gifted Students Programme). He had numerous awards to his credit including the Shoman Prize for Young Arab Scientists in the Humanities, which was granted by Jordan’s Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation in 1990, and the State Award for Excellence in Social Sciences - Egypt in 2003.
