Children's Literature Between the Screen and the Classroom

A Reading of the Book “The Phantom of Sabiba” in Collaboration with Sea of Culture

This session featured a reading of “The Phantom of Sabiba” in collaboration with Sea of Culture. Author Latifa Labsir, recipient of the Sheikh Zayed Award for Children's Literature, discussed her novel, which addresses autism through the perspective of a young girl narrating the story of her autistic brother. With a sensitive and artistic narrative style, the book encourages greater public awareness and a more compassionate understanding of autism among children and youth. The session was moderated by academic and translator Mohammed Ait Mayhoub.
