Frankfurt Book Fair Digital Programme: The Arab World: There is a lot to discover

As part of the Frankfurt Book Fair's 2020 digital live programme, the Award organised a panel titled ‘The Arab World: There’s a Lot to Discover’ on 13 October 2020.

The session hosted Margaret Obank, publisher and editor-at-large of the UK’s modern Arab literature magazine ‘Banipal’, and winner of the 2020 Sheikh Zayed Book Award for Publishing and Technology, in conversation with Hannah Johnson, publisher of American trade magazine ‘Publishing Perspectives’.

Speakers discussed the diverse initiatives that support Arab writers, as well as the Arabic literature today. The virtual discussion was introduced by Claudia Kaiser, Vice President of Business Development for Frankfurt Book Fair.
