The Sheikh Zayed Book Award 16th Edition ceremony was held at the Louvre Abu Dhabi on 24 May 2022 and hosted key intellectual & literary figures, alongside ministers, senior officials & diplomats, to witness granting eight prizes:

• Literature Award to the Emirati poet and novelist Maisoon Saqer
• Children’s Literature Award to Syrian author Maria Daadoush
• Young Author Award to the Tunisian writer Dr. Mohamed Al-Maztouri
• Literary and Arts Criticism Award to the Moroccan writer Mohamed Aldahi
• Translation Award to Egyptian translator Dr. Ahmed Aladawi
• Arabic Culture in Other languages Award to the Iraqi/American scholar Dr. Muhsin J. Al-Musawi
• Publishing and Technology Award to Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt

• Cultural Personality of the Year Award to Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghathami from Saudi Arabia.
